Next instalment of the series based around women living in London's East End during World War 2. This one included a bit of drama with rape, murder, break ins and loss.
Book 2 of the series. Well written and I found myself becoming quite invested in the loves of the characters.
Nice easy read based on a group of women living in the East End of London during World War 2.
I enjoyed this one. A very easy read, but a couple of unexpected twists.
Very light romantic comedy. Very easy to read (I read it in a couple of hours). Nice story, but a little predictable.
A book I had to read for my study, but very worthwhile. An easy read with lots of practical ideas. It really made me analyse my own practice and identify changes I want to make in the future.
An okay piece of fluff. Good for holidays as I didn't have to concentrate too hard on it.
A lovely conclusion to the Four Streets series. The underlying themes of a corrupt church, pedophile ring and poverty were quite confronting throughout the whole series, but the connection between the main characters and the support of each other was really touching. The neighbourhood cat bringing home the dead priests 'langer' had me giggling for days! Pleased I finally finished the series.
Wow, I couldn't put it down. My housework didn't get done! The stories from his journey to and in prison were pretty confronting.
A nice conclusion to the series, and it fills in a few blanks. The writing wasn't as good as the previous books, but an easy read to start the holidays.
A really easy read. Key themes: just focus on what's important and remember, no matter how rocky the bath water may get, the rubber ducks never completely sink!
Nice easy read with a couple of hidden twists that kept me interested. Looking forward to reading the final book in the series now.
