  • The Temptation of Magic

    By Megan Scott
    5 stars

This book was a great first read of the year, absolutely amazingly written YA fantasy, with an interesting creature system and an intriguing evil corporation trying to bring about the end of the world. The writing was lovely and the story was very good! I enjoyed all the characters and am going to need the next two ASAP.

  • Things We Never Got Over

This was a romance but with the little something extra. However the romance outweighed the other plot so it only gets three stars. I liked it, but the names of some of the characters made it hard for me to suspend my disbelief at some points and almost took away from the story. The actual writing was also a little jumpy and didn’t feel fully cohesive at points.

  • City of Nightmares

    By Rebecca Schaeffer
    4 stars

A fantastic YA dark fantasy. Set in a completely corrupt city where people turn into their worst nightmares. The main characters were all really interesting and the pacing was well done. Highly recommend

  • The Way of Kings: Part One

Very long. A lot of names, places and events to remember. Almost too many, I struggled to stay invested in the story at some points. I can see the whole series being interesting but I am not rushing to continue it.

Cute end to the series. Typical romance book, enjoyable. Nothing special but an easy read that kept me engaged.

Number four in this series, and my favourite by far.

A fantastic final book in this trilogy. Full of twists, had be laughing out loud and crying. Perfect and so well written.
