Carissa Broadbent gives the reader a sucker punch to the gut at the end of this book. Full of action and adventure, the enemies to lovers story line takes you on an enjoyable journey - until everything is turned on its head. I highly rate this read for anyone who loves fantasy and wants the emotional ride of a FMC in turmoil.
I will never find our when or if the 'Moon Hatched' - and even if the reader did, I am pretty sure we would be left confused and wondering 'what just happened?' Written in purple prose, the plot feels stilted at points, confusing, and without the necessary context and details to keep the reader engaged. It has the makings of a brilliant text, just without the execution. I don't think this will be coming to Netflix any time soon.
A mysterious hotel, a love story spanning different timelines, and magic - what more could you ask for? Unfortunately, this did not deliver for me with a highly unlikeable and unrelatable main character, and a back story with more holes than a piece of swiss cheese.
Harry Potter meets the Handmaids Tale - prepare to feel conflicted, much like the heroine of the story.
The best in the series yet. This novel is packed full of adventure as the author expand this fantasy world and strengthens our heroine. A series of books you cannot put down.
An immersive easy read.
An enjoyable third book in the series!
The second book in the Emperyian series. Action packed and it develops the world of the series more.
An immersive read that has you on a cliff hanger at the end - so you'll want to have the second book handy!
