Another entry in the Jack Reacher series. The supporting characters didn't grab me as particularly interesting, the one who was barely made it into the last 1/3 of the story. Some fun descriptive passages helped drive the story along and my copy had a nice Q&A with Lee Child at the back.

    4 stars

One of my top 10 favourites of her works....mostly because of all the supporting character and the humour in it.

Nice short chapters to break up the story when reading aloud. Good adventure and good to connect to places we've visited up north. Enjoyed the special connection between Folly and Tooth.

Recommended by a year 10 student who also enjoyed the Inheritance Games series. An amazing read, and so glad I've already got the sequel on my shelf.

A great new addition to a fantasy series for upper primary/intermediate students.

  • Spark hunter

A lovely story set in Fiordland which references some well known explorers who went missing. Not as much if a survival story as I was expecting, but the 'forest fairies' concept was well presented.

  • Fox in Socks

    By Dr Seuss

    What a tongue twister!

  • The Explorer

Exciting adventure story of 4 children surviving a crash landing in the Amazon. Plenty of life lessons learnt and a lovely ending
