  • Dawn Raid

    By Pauline Vaeluga Smith
    4 stars

This was an enjoyable read which was a very accessible way about learning about the dawn raids of the 1970s. Probably best suited for Year 8/ 9 as a class text.

  • Silent to the Bone

    By E.L. Konigsburg
    1 stars

I did not enjoy this book at all and read this because of good reviews. It now seems very dated and is not as easy read. It is about a child who is wrongly accused of a crime and his friend sets about to discover the truth and bring the culprit to justice.

  • The Lollipop Shoes

    By Joanne Harris
    4 stars

This is an enjoyable sequel to 'Chocolat' as we catch up with Vianne Rocher and her family as they settle in Montmartre in their chocolate shop. The arrival of a mysterious stranger, Zozie de l'Alba turns their lives into turmoil again.
