This took me a while to get into, I think it was the narrators voice that I found a bit off putting. However Im glad i kept going, A story about portals , other worlds and the spaces in between.
Excellent, an evocative account of pre and post WW2 southland with a highly realistic descriptive passages of the Navigators role in a plane from Bomber command.
Brilliant story, i absolutely whizzed through this. Original premise, laugh out loud and well drawn characters. i know need to go and re read Charles Dickens.
An easy between Christmas and New Year read. Light and bit too frothy for me, a poor mans version of Shirley Valentine.
