Great book to dip in and out of. For me it was like "Doomscrolling" but in a book not on the screen, once I started, I just kept reading more. Love the style of writing and all the trivia you can learn and unlearn. Favourite fact - OMG was first used in 1917 in a letter to Winston Churchill, entered OED in 2011.
Wished I'd read this sooner. Very uplifting, it really did focus on looking for the joy that the message of the Gospels bring. I particularly liked the ideas professed in the chapter on The Social Dimension of Evangelization.
Really good to read alongside Pope Francis' Evangelii Gaudium. Breaks down the major problem facing the Catholic Church today and clear analysis of 5 different paradigms the faithful adhere to, or at least try to, followed by guidance in a positive way towards true discipleship.
Was fascinating to learn of life behind the scenes, to find out more about Jacinda Ardern's childhood. Was interesting to learn about what motivated, challenged her and then sealed her decision to stand down. The "imposter syndrome" anecdote is quite powerful. I loved her candidness.
