Martha is a sharp and self-examining woman whose life is heavily influenced by enduring mental health struggles. The story moves between different periods of her life, focusing on her difficult relationships with family and men, and examines themes of mental health, love, shame, and care. I found the book deeply moving, often bringing me to tears. While the beginning felt slow, the story grew intensely emotional and compelling.
An interesting, factual and emotional book about the world's deadliest and most infectious disease.
Good, easy read, surprising twist that I didn't see coming.
