Lovely story set in Sydney with a side trip to NZ. The main character is dealing with grief and loss and trying to recover from the effects of the Christchurch earthquake. While it is a novel there were many elements that were factual.
Cute! Nice to read a story set in Wellington, NZ. The main character was setting up a new bookstore and it follows the challenges and hurdles she has to work through, it has a slightly sad ending but leaves you with hope for a new beginning.
Cute easy read.
Great historical novel, the characters were well developed and the challenges they faced were well described. I loved that it was based on a true story about a female US minister to Norway who was stationed in Oslo in 1940. It gave interesting insight into the beginnings of the war and the struggles they had to overcome to stay safe. Well worth reading!
This is a lovely story about two sisters navigating life and figuring out how to support each other. There is also the element of saving a bookshop before Christmas. And finding love as well. The children in the story were special characters too, I could definitely imagine them in real life! It was a very nice book to read, especially in the lead up to Christmas.
Great story, kept me hooked from the beginning. Nice to have a semi happy ending for the characters as well.
Another cute story by Christie Barlow. I enjoy all her Love Heart Lane books and this one was an easy read with a happy ending.
Nice easy summer read with a happy ending.
