A classic story that I loved as a child (and continue to love). Shared this as an audiobook with my boys during our Christmas and New Year road trips.
I saw this book at an Air BNB we stayed in. After reading the first two chapters I felt compelled to read more. Lots of thoughtful and interesting ideas and 'lessons'. I'll explore more of what he has written.
Really enjoyed this one. Quite different from my previous experience reading Trent Dalton. Funny, had me quickly turning pages to the ending.
Read an audiobook that I had listened to. Really enjoyed it.
A great young adult read. Positive themes of having a voice, standing up for what you believe in, loyalty to family and friends and lots of local humour and references.
Advertised as New Zealand's version of Hatchet (which was one of my favourite books growing up). This book is fast paced, an easy read and has lots of Te Reo interwoven. Will pass this on to my eldest son (11) to read.
A short but enjoyable novel. A story that is equally magical and unsettling.
The latest book in a series I've enjoyed.
