  • Anything could happen

    By Grant Robertson
    4 stars

For Ao/NZ policy/politics nerds, this book will be more satisfying than the more internationally-targeted memoir from Jacinda Ardern. I enjoyed Robertson's chapter on his diplomatic life especially, and found the parts about his adolescence to be an interesting and emotional insight into life in the 80/90s. The chapters about his time in Parliament are less likely to be new information to readers but I still enjoyed the read; there's enough reflection and openness to stop the book feeling like a puff-up.

  • 107 Days

    By Kamala Harris
    4 stars

A fast-paced and engaging behind-the-scenes insight into Harris' hectic presidential campaign. I was particularly struck by her telling of several phone calls she had with Trump.
