  • Believe The Untold Story Behind Ted Lasso, the Show That Kicked Its Way into Our Hearts

    By Jeremy Egner
    4 stars

This was a good listen, if at times going over material familiar to firm fans and labouring over quotes. The behind the scenes glimpses, meteoric rise and also the intense research by the author - drawing from any and all publicity and interviews the actors had done as well as the experience of artists that had lent their music to the series was interesting and just shows that you never know where life will take you, and that so many little miracles and happenstances can collide to create a runaway hit. Makes me wonder how many other underrated shows are hiding out there waiting to be discovered!

  • Happy Accidents

    By Jane Lynch
    4 stars

This sytory felt shallower than I expected and for some reason I expected Jane to be more developed as a person. Humanising and interesting but often she really does not seem like someone is want to spend any amount of time around! I’m not sure I will finish this one.

  • James Acaster’s Classic Scrapes

    By James Acaster
    5 stars

A great listen. Laugh out loud in places. Def an oddball and you can have too much of a good thing when it’s an autobiographical book and the author is also the narrator. But it’s an insightful look into how he came into his comedic career as well as how very many gaffs one can make when as awkward as James is.

  • The Bay

    By Allie Reynolds

  • We Solve Murders

    By Richard Osman

A great list arm. A little unrealistic (obviously) in terms of financials. These guys are jetting all over the place. Plus the quick change in sojj m e characters trajectories

  • Strong Female Character

    By Fern Brady
    5 stars

This has been such an enlightening read and insight into one perspective on the struggles of Autism, navigating a world where you are continuously misunderstood and I was floored by the intensity of her experiences, confusion and self harm. This first chapter had me laughing but the story got intense fast. Much respect for bring so open and brave and sharing the pitfalls of living life undiagnosed and unaccomodated!

  • Guts

    By Kristen Johnston
    5 stars

"Actress Kristen Johnston has written her first book, a surprisingly raw and triumphant memoir that is outrageous, moving, sweet, tragic, and heartbreakingly honest. Guts is a true achievement—a memoir that manages to be as frank and revealing as Augusten Burroughs, yet as hilarious and witty as David Sedaris. Johnston takes us on a journey so truthful and relatable, so remarkably fresh, it promises to stay with you for a long, long time."
