An interesting take on the vampire hunter genre. Got a bit repetitive having to read about how beautiful the angel love interest is every other page though...
Thankfully more fast paced than the previous two books in the trilogy. Closed up all the loose ends of the previous 2 books and ended satisfactorily.
A bit outdated, but charming. A romance/mystery about a woman's guardian angel coming down to earth to protect her from great evil. Why? Coz he's been in love with her for the hundreds of years he's watched over her, obviously!
First 3/4 dragged on with building up the suspense and giving little clues about a fairy tale curse/mystery. Took forever to get to the exciting part (or maybe I'm just impatient...). Hoping the last of the trilogy will be more fast paced.
A good beginning to hook you in, but the first half of the book is quite slow. Second half was much better. Told from the perspective of 3 characters - a prince, a healer, and a big strong brute with a mysterious past. Nothing very surprising in terms of plot, but a good and satisfying ending.
Interesting take of a revenge/ redemption story where a young thief is chosen to be a herald (whose job is to uphold the law!)
