  • Atmosphere

    By Taylor Jenkins Reid
    3 stars

This novel took some time for me to truly become invested, instead finding myself lost in se technical jargon and contextual set up. Once through this initial plight, I couldn’t tear my eyes away until the final word was read. I was basically married to this book for a few days and then it was over. Very sweet, tackles some big ideas from the era, and does so in a digestible (if not slightly unrealistic) passion. Very dramatic, but in a fun way.

  • The Family Next Door

    By Sally Hepworth
    5 stars

The best book I have read for a while! So real, the characters were complexing. I found myself bewildered, contemplating, angry, empathetic. It is written so well, an easy read that still has substance. I will be finding another Hepworth novel to read soon - I loved it!

  • My Husband

    By Maud Ventura

This was entertaining, but not a book that I would recommend to anyone else to read. It felt like I was reading the chapters to set up the book, but then that was the entire book. If you are mad at your partner, and feeling like taking it out on them, read this. If you love your partner, save your time, and read something with more substance. I’m not mad, but I would be if I were not on holidays with a lot of time to read on my hands.

  • The woman in the library

    By Sulari Gentill
    4 stars

This was a very entertaining read with good plot turns and an interesting approach with almost a book inside of a book feel. I recommend to people who like a crime but maybe one that is not too heavy while retaining the plot twist that you won’t see coming.

  • Girl, Woman, Other

    By Bernadine Evaristo
    5 stars

This was a beautiful exploration into the lives of different women going through their own personal struggles at different stages of their lives, in different contexts, in varying intersectionality's of life. A great read to reflect on ones own experience as a woman in the world.
