Thanks ReadNZ for sending this to me! It's a beautiful collection, and the insight into Kat Quin's writing process was really valuable. Who doesn't love Kuwi?! It must be illegal to give it less than five stars.
I can't remember the last time I was excited about the fifth book in a series (It was probably Deltora Quest, and I was probably about twelve). It's one of the most beautiful, and probably the most hopeless book of the series--exactly what we need at this point in history. I loved it, and I can't wait for the movie!
Ever wanted to climb Everest? Read this book and you'll never want to again. Amazing writing by John Krakauer (as usual), in this harrowing, tragic and all-around terrifying account of the 1996 Everest disaster (dubbed the worst tragedy Everest has ever seen), which he somehow survived. Read it. Now.
Like reading an entire season of M*A*S*H--funny, eloquent, gruesome and heartbreaking in equal measures. The companion memoir, Undoctored, will unapologetically break your heart into bits. (The TV series is also amazing, just FYI).
