Graphic novel with a time-tralling Pukeko who meets a tuatara in 200BC and travels forward meeting other new friends along the way. Nice historical summary at the end. Great quick read for Yr7/8 at our school.

1970s classic that I had to read as it is referenced in other books and movies. Done & Dusted

  • Nine Girls

    By Stacy Gregg
    4 stars

Read to promote to Yr7/8. Conflicted over this book. good research, great themes- it just seemed like several books in one which made it a bit more messy, than sophisticated. A lovely overarching theme of rediscovering your culture. Loads of great Te Reo Maori & history of the Waikato.

  • The Will of the Many

    By James Islington

Recommended this fantasy book by my students. Thoroughly enjoyed this big adventure that was political, thought-provoking and entertaining. Gutted that I loaned out the newly published sequel to said students! : ))
