Really enjoyed this book. Easy to read, relatable characters and has some great humour in it. I will have to check out more of her titles.
A very typical Nora Roberts, easy read full of good looking characters that are infatuated with each other. A least her female protagonists are generally ballsy and fun to read. Great for a relaxing holiday read.
I thought the feminist in me would love this book. How wrong I was. I found it depressing in the extreme and annoying at the end! Don't read this if you are feeling down in the dumps!
An interesting premise but the language is a little flowery and that can put you off initially. Worth pressing on with to find out what happened!
A descriptive story where you can see the Australian landscape in your mind's eye as you read. You can almost smell Oxley, the dog! A good family mystery with a couple of twists and a sprinkle of fantasy just to keep things interesting. Good holiday read.
I took a while to really get into this book, but it was worth persevering. I liked the fact that much of the action and characters were based on real people. The frustration you feel reading about Nazis escaping justice after WW2 is real. Good twists at the end to wrap up the story. "Never forget".
Quirky, funny New Zealand play that began it's life as a devised work for two actors. Rural NZ in all it's glory - the developer versus the locals. Great fun.
This is the fifth book in the Thursday Murder Club series. It's funny, got great twists and turns and a dash of pathos as well. I really like how this series celebrates elderly people and their skills rather than relegating them to stereotypes and invisibility. Lovely characters.
Easy holiday read. A bit slushier than my normal read but had a touch of humour at times which broke up the mush.
Great holiday read. Just a bit of supernatural to go along with the Scottish setting. My inner feminist was yelling a lot during the reading, so be warned!
This is the second book from these authors. Love the stories! Light hearted and humorous but with a gritty edge that keeps you guessing 'whodunnit'. Easy read.
