Only just started but reminds me of Gabriela Garcia Marquez style of writing.

Really enjoyed this one. A light-hearted love story, but with a good twist.

  • The One Plus One

Nice, light happily ever after with some agony along the way. Nothing spectacular, but quite enjoyable.

This is just a really lovely light read. Quite predictable, but lovely.

This is the second time i have listened to this audiobook. Story is a wee bit long-winded, but author manages to use quite a lot of dry humour and this one is read by Meryl Streep. She is an absolute audiobook queen - could listen to her all day long. So clever with her tone and timing. Wish all audiobooks could be read by her!!

Really enjoying this one. Very well written. Feels like it's an actual memoir, rather than a novel. Cool insights into teen behaviours.

A bible for kiwi gardeners. Got this out if the library, and then bought my own copy. Author has a blog, lives in Otaki I think, writes in NZ gardener magazine. This is a really practical guide to everything in the garden. Want to read it cover to cover but can definitely pick it up and just read what’s relevant at tge time.

Have had 2 goes at listening to this one - its just a bit slow. Haven’t managed to finish it. Some interesting points of view, but would rather spend time reading something else.

    Loved this one.

Well written, enjoyable but nothing really special

  • Inside the O'Briens

Haven’t finished this one. Usually really enjoy her books, but long chapter early on with lots of american cops daily ‘stuff’ was a bit too much for me to bother with. Returned it before I'd finished it - audiobook version was too american to cope with.

Great book. I think I have figured it out, but well written.

Enjoyed this - older persons book though ;-)

  • Plain Truth

    By Jodi Picoult

Way too long. Just don’t seem to be enjoying Jodi Picoult as much now. Listened to the audiobook - took too long, and this one isn’t as good as some of her ones I read earlier. No great surprises, about 10 hours too long.

Light, sweet, gotta be older to appreciate it

    Love this book!

  • Sing You Home

Really struggling with this one - usually love Jodi Picoult, but not enjoying this one. Just need to get to the end of it. Themes of homophobia and religious fanaticism are way to hard to listen to!
