Like the film, this book illustrate how kind, humble and passionate a person Jacinda is. She leaves us in no doubt that she never felt worthy or capable of of leading, but she showed us a different , humane and caring way to lead. A page turner.
Another page turner by this author . The continuation of the Seven Sisters series. It’s set in remote Broome in the early 1920’s in Australia this time. Very intriguing.
Just love this new series. In fact I preferred it to The Thursday Murder Club series. Richard Osman writes with humour. Great puzzle to solve too. Can’t wait for next one!
Definitely a page turner. The last she has written and more of a mystery. Has a love interest which is always fun to read. Her prose is great and a lot of first person
Another in her Cuban series. Story based around history of Cuba and America in the 60’s and I’ve enjoyed the previous ones as well follow one family.
It is a sad, lonely life for an elderly lady who corresponds regularly with some key people in her life. Her story and life are revealed as book progresses and you understand why she is , like she is. Has been rated highly and it achieved its fame
Lucinda Riley didn’t disappoint. Plot followed third sister, Star. It shifts between present day and her backstory through her investigation. Writing paints scenes vividly and you have to red to find out answers.
A really lovely Christmas read. Very Maeve Binchy
