Loved this book when I read it so have been listening to it with our 12 year old son (who’s loved it also) Based on an island where there is an orphanage with a group of dangerous magical children, their guardian and the island sprite. Linus from the department for magical youth, is sent to observe and write a report advising if he thinks the orphanage should be allowed to continue or not. Linus gets more than he bargained for, it’s a beautiful, funny heart warming story.
