A thought provoking read!
Beautifully produced journal of inspiration for those who enjoy growing, picking and creating with their harvest from their backyards! Inspired to walk into my yard to find textured interesting plant material, fruit, flowers and buds to create a foral design celebrating the everyday gifts from the garden.
Adam walks and retraces the incredulous journey of a lone wolf who crossed mountain passes, national borders, roads and towns all to find a mate. Learning from communities along the way, Adam writes of the complexities of wolves regaining territory across Europe in the context of climate change, migration and shifting politics. Similar to the perceptive narrative nonfiction writing of Robert MacFarlane and Kapka Kassabova.
An immersive cli- fi thriller. A haunting mystery threads it's way through the story set on a subantarctic island. An immersive, emotional read. Like it's characters there's no escaping the harsh shores, inhabitants and beautiful rendering of stark landscapes.
Story is told through "21 voices" from a small community in Ireland. I enjoyed " The Spinning Heart" more, and earlier novel set in the same community.
