  • The Killing Stones

    By Ann Cleeves
    4 stars

After a considerable hiatus, another story from the Shetland series with DI Jimmy Perez. I enjoyed 'catching up' with the characters from earlier novels who in this story solve a series of murders on Westray where Jimmy and Willow now live. Recommended.

  • Reset Your Health

    By Podcast with Jamie Oliver
    5 stars

Great series of six interviews with experts, all connected back to nutrition. Hear about texture of food, polyphenols, inflammation, sleep, aging and more. I found these fascinating.

  • Last One Out

    By Jane Harper
    4 stars

I have read/listened to all of Jane Harper's novels, The Lost Man is my favourite, and this one is in a similar vein to her other stories. She creates a vivid, imaginable setting that New Zealanders, as well as Australians, can easily relate to. Twists, turns, red herrings lead to a resolution. I recommend The Lost Man above this but this above Surviviors,

  • The House at Pooh Corner

    By AA Milne
    5 stars

Read this aloud to my granddaughter - reading the 'Tigger story' 10+ times as she found it hilarious! (Tigger's 'funny voice' may have helped...)

  • The Christmas Stocking and Other Stories

    By Katie Fforde
    2 stars

Very lightweight but good to listen to when driving.

  • The Dark is Rising

    By Susan Cooper
    4 stars

Great YA novel set around Christmastime.
