Getaway retreat with client's from hell. What can go wrong? I just love how easy this series is. Anyone who like "Murder, she write" with a baking twist will love this book.

Welcome back to Dream Harbor! Another romantic story, with different genre plot. Nice & easy read just right for Christmas.

Potent little book about the power of reading and imagination. Beautifully lyrical and worth reading. I can imagine students who love reading being transported into alternative reality where the power of books is valued and storytelling has the power to bring forth what has been lost.

  • An Unkindness of Magicians (The Unseen World 1)

Great idea! I can imagine students falling for this book. Characters and overall arc are bringing something new the magical world genre. Alas, it's not as good as Hunger Games or Forth Wing. I think where I struggled the most is the writing that sometime lost me and I had to re-read pages to try and follow the story. I'm hesitant to pick 2nd book.

Book 32 in a series of Carpathian novels. When I discovered this author, I was hooked. Each book provides a unique story of the male & female antagonists, with some interweaving from prior characters. Unfortunately the magic has worn off a bit for me. Story is not as engaging and capturing. My favourite storyline is still the one of Skyler Daratrazanoff and even though she appears and is mentioned in this the Dark Whisper, it is trully only a dark whisper of the past books.

    * Mature content scenes. The story as old as time... A slightly introverted book lover tries her hand at having fun & experience her wild side. Of course, you’ll need a helping hand from a dashing adventure seeker. Light read and feel-good book. Happy to follow through with the series and highly recommend for a beach day.

Anyone who's a fun of Murder, She Wrote & The Great British Bake-Off should read this series. In a small town, inspired by all things Shakespeare a returned baker is taking over family business and has a knack for solving murder mysteries. Light, interesting summer read with baking and/or cooking tips and a couple of good recipes. What's not to like?

  • The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

It's been a bit of a journey with this book. I heard about it last year, and it took me three attempts to read it. First time, I would smile, smirk and laugh at jokes but nothing would really sink in. Second time - forget it! So for the last two weeks, I've been working through this read. It's not a book to read in one go, or maybe the first time it is. It's more like digest-at-pace read. Highly recommend for golden nuggets and nicely woven storytelling reflections.
