Red Rising was a book I genuinely loved, and I’ve already started the second. It reminded me of the stories I devoured in high school. I found myself enjoying it for the same reasons I loved books like The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Hunger Games, and Divergent. The gradual discovery of society’s true nature, the rigid class system, and the brutal, cutthroat competition all felt familiar in the best way. The proctors hovering above and observing the chaos especially echoed the tension of The Hunger Games. Overall, it was an exciting, nostalgic read that completely pulled me in
What’s December without a cheesy, quick, festive book? Very cute and fun read
It’s a good book, just not really my usual vibe. I’m reading it because it’s my best mate’s favourite series, and I promised her I’d give it a go
