Surprisingly a good read! Cute and easy.
The second in the Bergman Brothers series. Not as good as the first, but a neat romance read.
Excellent!!! Read it in a day I was so invested. It has a lovely Jane Harper feel to it which made me smile. A decent mystery thriller/drama and it had me thinking to the end.
Loved this book! Ruth owns a couple of tiny bookshops at the bottom of the South Island. Her chapters consist of the various customers she meets at the book shop intertwined with her life story which is incredibly fascinating and at times unbelievable! Her writing is honest, sad at times but also full of hope. I can’t wait to read another of hers next!
I think this was her first novella and you can tell. The main character is really annoying and at times I just wanted to shout at her. Luckily her other books are better. Wouldn’t recommend
3rd instalment of the Bergman Brothers Series. A cute little romance but not as good as the first book.
2nd instalment of the series. Pretty action packed fantasy romance. Not too bad
A lovely little romance that jumps back and forth through two timelines. Georgia Stanton, a woman rebuilding her life after a painful divorce returns to her late great-grandmother’s Colorado estate. She discovers an unfinished manuscript written by her grandmother, a famed romance novelist, and must decide how it’s going to end. Noah, an author is hired and they explore these letters. The letters become the 2nd timeline. a nice quick read if you needed to pass the time.
Loved loved loved! I finished this in less than a day, I was hooked! Well written, well paced. A love story between two people who just needed to get it all together. A slow burn, totally worth it. It’s also 1 book of 7 in the Bergman Series! Bonus!
Mystery and Intrigue! Recommended by friends. It started well and I was invested in what was going on and who was behind everything, it went a bit south towards the end. I was not too happy with the ending.
After watching the recent release of Pike River at the cinema, I went down a huge rabbit hole of learning more about this how and why this terrible event occurred. It’s the factual and clear timeline of how Pike began, from the initial mining consents 20 years ago to after the explosions. Rebecca meticulously outlines what happened and how it ultimately led to the deaths of 29 men. It was a brilliant read, an incredibly sad read and a part of the story that was unable to be fully told via the movie.
