    5 stars

Reading A Life on Our Planet felt like hearing David Attenborough quietly lay out the changes he’s watched unfold over his lifetime. I knew many of the issues, but seeing them through his timeline made their speed hit much harder. It was unsettling, but his steady optimism—and his belief that we still have time to act—left me feeling unexpectedly hopeful.

Red Rising had been on my TBR list for a long time. I’m glad I finally got around to reading it, because it reminded me of the dystopian novels I read and loved as a kid—think The Hunger Games, Divergent, etc.—but written for adults. Now, onto the next in this long series: Golden Son.
