I was initially sceptical about reading this book, but once I realised it was Oprah interviewing a Psychiatrist and Neuroscientist I realised it had more to offer. I found it fascinating and a highly recommended read for teachers, mental health professionals, parents and really anyone with an interest in trauma.

A few gems of wisdom but most of it pretty much common sense

  • Twenty Pieces

A bit boring unless you are in the New York City fan club. Didn’t warm to the narrator who I thought seemed selfish and self serving. Missed the mark of a story of true reinvention fir a women in her 50’s.
