What a page turner - great story with many twists and turns. There is cast of many, and quite a few plotlines to follow. But JK does a great job of keeping the pace up, making you want to get through the book and find out who did what!!
Teen fiction, set in Southland. A group of students at a boarding school have powers, the most powerful of being a power that can 'push' feelings, ideas, images' to their recipients. Teen romances, relationships wrap around, plus some high drama, kidnapping woven through.
Dystopian novel, set 100 years in the future. Could be our own history being predicted it's so realistic. Premise focuses on a poem thought to be the best poem ever read to a group in the 2000s, never published but much talked about. Research 100 years on becomes obsessed, goes on a quest to uncover more.
Grim coal mining tales but beautifully written.
Immensely readable, dystopian setting but not overly so. Set in England after world war 2; groups of children live in Sycamore homes for the purposes of what? The purpose unfolds as you read the story - scarily real.
